Multi-Use Activity Space

In 2019, the Southland Park Residents Association, in conjunction with the City of Winnipeg, mapped out potential enhancements to our local park, “Lagimodiere Park”. Since our community is located between two major highways, safety was a large concern in determining what enhancements our park might see. We also have a wide demographic of residents that also needed to be considered with limited space and an existing play structure. As a new board, we choose to start with something small. Our first project, a half-basketball / pickleball court will provide both older youth, adults and seniors with additional activity within our area. Construction started in June 2022 with an expected completion of end of July 2022.
